schools & libraries & events

I am a BIG fan of school visits and events generally and love speaking with children. My book covers a variety of ages, starting at upper middle grade AND crossing over into young adult. Below are some of the themes / topics covered in A Sequence of Cosmic Accidents along with some HELPFUL FAQs.  Please contact me with any questions about my presentations.

The science of Cosmic Accidents

From wormholes and stardust to event horizons and stellar corpses, we ponder the mind bending stuff of science while throwing in some big philosophical questions like what's for dinner how might a parallel world look?

Workshop option: Write your own intergalactic vision. What would your parallel world look like?

Magimmune, Monsters and Mythos

Ever heard of an Amarok? How about a Deumus? The Azi Dahaka? We're going across the globe looking at the vast array of mythological marvels and monsters. Along the way, we'll dip into the origins of magic and question whether it really exists. No centaurs or run of the mill fairies allowed.

Workshop option: Create your own mythological figure, will it withstand the test of time?
